Q: How does giftUP choose the gift suggestions?

Our expertly designed giftSQUAD is a unique and specialized process combining the power of technology with real life expert gift shoppers. The first step is for you to fill out a questionnaire about the gift recipient. The more information provided, the better the results will be. We then use a specialized algorithm to narrow down gift ideas based on what people will like according to their style, interest, personality, nature of the event, and other factors, then we let the giftSQUAD go to work.

Q: How do I get my suggestions? Where are my suggestions?

Once an event is added if the event date is less than 3 weeks away you will receive an email with a link to your suggestions within 72 hours. If further than 3 weeks and for all annually recurring events you will receive the email notification with a link to your suggestions 3 weeks prior to event date.

All current and past event suggestions can also be viewed at anytime on your suggestions dashboard which is available from the members page.

Q: Which plan works best for me?   

We love to show off how great our gift suggestions are so we let you signUP anyone you want for free! Simply create a profile for the gift recipient of your choosing and add up to 5 events with absolutely no charge to you. When you decide you want to use our gift suggestions for more recipients you can subscribe to the unlimited package detailed below.

This plan is for the ultimate gift giver!  It allows you to utilize giftUP for every gift recipient on your shopping list all year long. With a yearly fee of only $19.99 you will receive endless gift suggestions. Simply register for the Unlimited Package then add as many events for as many people as you choose.

Q: How does the pricing work? When is my credit card charged?

Your card will be charged upon checkout for the paid subscription, then not again until each 365 days thereafter, unless canceled. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time from your dashboard of the members page.

Q: How do you view and purchase the gift suggestions?

Your inbox will receive an email from the giftSQUAD alerting you that your  suggestions are ready to view. Simply log-in to your suggestions dashboard or click the link provided in the email.

Each gift suggestion listed will have a price and a link to where the gift can be purchased. There may also be comments from your expert gift shopper explaining why a gift was chosen, and what is unique about the product or the company.

Once you have decided on the gift you wish to purchase, you have two choices:

  1. You can use the provided link to purchase the gift directly through the retailer’s website.

  2. You can purchase the gift through giftUP allowing us to be your personal concierge. Shipping and handling is covered through our service fee of $9.99 or $19.99 for express shipping. See next question for more information.

Q. What happens if I decide to purchase through giftUP?

  1. We facilitate the purchase and shipping of the gift from the suggestion website. In order to do this we require a shipping address and credit card at checkout.

  2. We charge a service fee which includes all shipping and handling cost.

  3. We estimate the tax rate based on the shipping destination and charge taxes accordingly.

  4. We keep you informed with all tracking information, and will reach out immediately if any issues arise. We will fully refund any credit that the retailer returns to us, either from a cancellation, return, or exchange. We follow the refund and return policies of the retailer, for more information on this view of purchasing policy here.

Q: What if I am not happy with my gift suggestions?

Please tell us! As your personal gift shopping concierge, we will work continually until you are satisfied.

Q: Can I delete my account?

Yes, send us a note by using our contact page identifying your account email address and letting us know you would like to delete your account and all events associated with it. We will then delete all records related to your account and confirm with an email upon completion.
